Terms and Conditions
1. Identification
Guests are required to provide a valid photo identification document upon check in. (Passport, Identity Card or Driving License). *
*We reserve the right to refuse accommodation to anyone who is unwilling or unable to provide any of the above items.
2. Arrivals and Departures
Check-in time is from 2:00pm.
Check-out time is 11:00am.*
*Late check-outs are subject to availability.
3. Age Restrictions
Bookings cannot be accepted from any person under the age of 18 unless they are accompanied by an adult (18 or over).
4. Payments
In order to check the validity of your debit/credit card and guarantee your booking, a pre-authorisation of the first night is required for any reservation made through our website or directly with our reservation team.
The full amount of your booking will be charged on arrival.
A payment card authorisation is also required for anticipated incidentals for the duration of your stay.
We accept the following types of payment:
Cash (GBP only), Credit & Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard and American Express).
5. Cancellations
If you wish to cancel or amend your reservation, please notify us by email at info@smartstayswisscottage.com 48 hours prior to your arrival date by 2.00pm (local time). If you notify us any less than 48 hours before your arrival date, or in case of a no-show, you will be charged for the first night of your stay.
For Special Rates/Discounts we require full prepayment for the entire stay at the time of the booking, which is non-changeable and non-refundable.
6. Smoking
Smoking is strictly prohibited within our premises. Any guest found smoking in the rooms or any public areas of our premises will be fined £150.
7. Pets
No pets are allowed within our premises.
8. Accessibility
Due to the setup of the building we are unable to provide lifts and have no ground floor rooms available meaning the property is not currently suitable for wheelchair users.
9. Guest Behaviour
Guests are required to conduct themselves in a reasonable and responsible manner throughout their stay. Any guest(s) who compromise the comfort, safety or security of other guests, staff or local residents will be asked to leave our premises without being liable for any refund.
10. Personal Property
We accept no liability for the loss, damage or theft of cash, jewellery or other valuables left unattended. Safe deposit boxes are available in all rooms for the safekeeping of these items. It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure that their personal belongings are secure at all times.
11. Damage
We reserve the right and you hereby authorise us to charge your debit/credit card for any damage incurred to your room during your stay or for any items that have been removed from our premises without consent. The charge will be the full replacement amount of the damaged/missing item.
12. Room Key Cards
Upon check in guests will receive a security card for access to their room and allocated bathrooms. These cards are activated for the period of stay only and must be handed back to reception on check out. There is a replacement fee of £10 for lost keys – so please keep it safe!
